Meet Your Women's Mental Health Counsellor

Hello and welcome, ladies 💐

My name is Nataly Goncalves, and I’m a Registered Counsellor and member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), specialising in women's mental health.

Having lived with anxiety for many years, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I offer a comprehensive, psychoeducational and compassionate approach to counselling, tailored specifically for women and informed by the unique interplay between female biology, emotional needs and life experiences.

Grounded in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and shaped by Christian values, my work is about walking alongside you through life’s difficult seasons while supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Together, we’ll work towards greater self-understanding, freedom, hope and peace, while nurturing the courage to become the woman you were created to be.

How I Can Support You

Anxiety, Depression & Stress Counselling for Women

If you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, overwhelming stress or burnout, it can begin to affect your relationships, work, motherhood and everyday life.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based counselling to help women better understand their emotional patterns, manage symptoms and develop practical strategies for greater clarity, emotional balance and resilience.

Together, we'll create an individualised approach that considers your experiences, needs and the unique factors that can influence women's mental health.

Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Counselling

Pregnancy and the transition to motherhood can bring significant emotional and psychological changes. Anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts or feeling overwhelmed can occur during pregnancy or after your baby is born.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based counselling for women experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression, with support tailored to the emotional, biological and life changes that can accompany pregnancy and motherhood.

Together, we can work towards greater understanding, emotional wellbeing and self-compassion during this important stage of your life.

Perimenopause & Menopause Mental Health Support

Perimenopause and menopause can bring significant changes to a woman's emotional and mental wellbeing. Hormonal changes during this transition may coincide with anxiety, changes in mood, sleep difficulties, brain fog and feeling unlike yourself.

I provide counselling and psychoeducation to help women better understand what they are experiencing, develop practical strategies and navigate this transition with greater clarity, self-compassion and confidence.

Where appropriate, I also encourage collaborative care with medical and allied health professionals to support your overall wellbeing.

Changing Unhelpful Habits & Behaviours

Changing patterns such as emotional eating, self-sabotage, avoidance, unhealthy relationship patterns, or feeling stuck in cycles of helplessness can be difficult, especially when they have become ways of coping with stress, difficult emotions or past experiences.

Through counselling, we can explore what may be driving these patterns, strengthen self-awareness and help you recognise where you have choice and influence. Together, we can develop practical strategies to support healthier behaviours, relationships and boundaries, helping you move forward with greater confidence, agency and personal responsibility.

Self-Discovery & Personal Growth

Self-discovery is an opportunity to better understand who you are, what you need and what matters most to you. Together, we can explore areas such as your personality, values, strengths, emotional and relationship patterns, beliefs and the experiences that have shaped you.

We can also explore how different stages of a woman's life, including hormonal and biological changes, may influence mood, energy, emotions and wellbeing.

With greater self-awareness, you can begin to make more intentional choices, develop healthier relationships and boundaries, and build a life that feels more aligned with your values and the woman you want to become.

Relationships & Emotional Wellbeing

Your relationships can have a powerful influence on your emotional wellbeing. Difficulties with a partner, family members, friends or people at work can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, resentful or unsure of yourself.

Rather than focusing on changing other people, our work focuses on understanding yourself within your relationships—your needs, boundaries, communication style, emotional responses and recurring relationship patterns.

Through greater self-awareness, you can learn to communicate more effectively, navigate conflict, establish healthier boundaries and make more intentional choices about how you relate to others—at home, socially and in the workplace.
